EBT - What is it?
Electronic Benefits Transfer is an electronic payment option to expand your customer base. EBT allows a government benefit recipient to authorize the transfer of their benefits from a Federal, State, or local government account to a merchant account to pay for products and services received.
Federal, State and local governments are required to implement EBT systems to reduce the cost of benefit distribution. They are rapidly moving in the direction of making all payments electronically to:
- Eliminate paper coupons and reduce paper checks

- Accepts all QUEST cards and more.
